UL Fire-Rated
Westbrook Block is a proud producer of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Approved Fire-Rated CMU in both Light Weight and Normal Weight densities in 2-, 3- and 4-hour configurations.
Because there no apparent differences in appearance between a standard CMU and a UL Fire-Rated CMU, Westbrook Block marks the inside core of each UL Fire Rated CMU with a raised “Frog.” In the event the design professional, building committee or local governing authority requires further assurance that the CMU used in fire walls are indeed Underwriters Laboratories Fire-Rated, individual Fire-Rated CMU can be individually marked with the UL logo. Additionally, a UL Certificate is delivered to the job site so that the contractor can make it available to local building officials.
